Discover the perfect backdrop for your next passionate moment.
Whether you are wooing someone special on Valentine’s Day or nurturing the beautiful relationship you’ve been building for decades, nothing quite says “you’re important to me” like a date night with a little thought put in.
You might be looking for the best local restaurants for a romantic evening out, something exciting to do or just a special twist for a night in. Whatever you’re after, we’ve got you covered with our list of 10 Warwickshire date nights to remember.
*Please note this is not a ranked list.
Fargo Village – Coventry
We have to love anywhere that describes itself as “Fiercely Independent”! Fargo Village is a hub of creative and artisan businesses that can make the perfect setting for your date night. Stroll through and browse the various shop fronts, stop for a bite to eat at one of the many foodie favourites (just try resist the cakes at Sugar & Spice) or work together to beat the escape rooms at Escape Live. With so many events on too, it’s almost certain you will find a great way to spend some time together (with our favourite added bonus of supporting independent businesses!)
Leam Boat Centre – Leamington Spa
If you fancy a Bridgerton moment of gliding down the river while staring lovingly into each other’s eyes, nothing quite fits the bill the way a Victorian-style rowing skiff does.
And if the thought of reciting poetry as you row down the river isn’t sitting quite right, the peddle boats might be the fun, quirky alternative you’re looking for.
Either way, make sure you stay in the boat and leave the Mr Darcy in the river scenes to someone else!
La Coppola – Leamington Spa
Spending the day rowing up and down the River Leam as you try not to confuse a romantic sonnet with the inappropriate limerick you heard last week is bound to work up an appetite. Treat your date to a romantic meal at one of the best Italian restaurants we know.
Walking into La Coppola feels a little like being transported into a fairytale, with their beautifully decorated, romantic style. Every meal is made from the freshest and finest ingredients. We really can’t think of a more romantic setting to enjoy a meal together.
Libertine Burgers – Rugby, Leamington or Stratford Upon Avon
If you are after an indulgent meal together, Libertine’s is the ultimate comfort food. Honestly, these burgers are award-winning for a reason. You can choose to eat in at any of their 3 locations for a retro diner feel to your evening, or order take away and get some candles lit to make that cosy night in together just perfect.
The Scrum – Rugby
There’s much more to a good night in together than Netflix and chill. Really, nothing beats a good board game to go with your decadent candlelit dinner together. The Scrum has all the best games in stock, and much more importantly, a friendly face to help you choose the best game for the night you’ve planned. A bit of competition is a great thing, but maybe stick with the games that won’t have you flipping the table in rage (we’re talking about you, Monopoly).

Astley Book Farm – Nuneaton
It may look a little unconventional, but let’s start normalising cosy day dates! If you want to impress a bookworm, you really don’t need to go much further than a well-stocked book shop. And if the groaning maze of shelves at Astley Book Farm doesn’t say well-stocked, then we might have the wrong definition for the word altogether.
Curl up in front of the log burner together to peruse your top picks or enjoy a cuppa and a cake as you discuss your favourite authors. Nothing quite builds a connection like bonding over a good book.
Magic Alley – Stratford Upon Avon
Add a little dash of magic to your date at this spellbinding attraction and gift shop. Awesome seasonal events run all year round, guiding you through enchanting quests to solve mysteries and puzzles. You can skip the love potion when you treat your favourite Harry Potter fan to this unique experience. And you can even grab a little memento in the gift shop as a reminder of the wonderful time you had together.
Café Cocktail – Stratford Upon Avon
If you are looking for something a little more chic, grab a cosy corner in Café Cocktail and get to know each other over a cocktail or 2. Whether you fancy keeping it casual or dressing up to the nines, the sultry vibe and the quirky mixes will set the mood for you to settle into talking the evening away.
Warwick Racecourse – Warwick
Grab your best fascinator and head out for a day at the races. There’s just something about the mix of high heels, prosecco, and the thrill of the track that makes this day out feel special. You don’t have to dress to the nines or know a thing about horses to be able to enjoy the atmosphere of the crowd; those are just a little bonus if they apply to you!
Bonito – Warwick
Settle into an intimate meal with a twist at Bonito in Warwick. This cosy restaurant offers tapas meals that change regularly. They only cook what is fresh that day which means you can be a little adventurous and try new things each time you visit. The exceptional service and warm atmosphere will set you up for a truly romantic evening together.
