Who's behind the business?
Lauren Simpson
Founder
Meet the person behind the business:
Hi, I’m Lauren, the founder of Studio Fifty Art. Earlier this year I was made redundant from a job I adored, and during that emotional time I found myself turning to art more than ever. Painting became my escape, my therapy, and the thing that helped me feel grounded again. It reminded me just how powerful creativity can be - calming, comforting, and a little bit magical - and I knew I wanted to share that feeling with others.
That’s how Studio Fifty Art came to life. I now run relaxed, affordable Paint & Sip sessions in lovely pubs and restaurants across Rugby, as well as private and corporate events. My goal is simple: to make art accessible, joyful and pressure-free. No perfection, no “I’m not creative,” and definitely no pricey tickets tied to drinks people may not want. Just a warm, welcoming space where anyone can pick up a brush and genuinely enjoy themselves.
What I love most is watching people leave smiling, proud, and a bit amazed by what they created. Those moments - the laughter, the community, the midweek escape - are exactly why I do this. And I feel incredibly lucky to share that experience with so many wonderful people.
What Makes Them So Special?
✅ Truly Affordable & Accessible Creativity
My Paint & Sip sessions are priced lower than most competitors because drinks aren’t bundled in, making regular midweek creativity accessible for everyone. Because art isn’t a luxury—it’s a wellbeing essential.
✅ A Pressure-Free, Supportive Atmosphere
Every session is designed for beginners, with simple step-by-step guidance and a relaxed environment where “I can’t paint” quickly turns into “I actually love this.”
✅ Proud to Support Local Pubs & Restaurants
I partner with independent venues across Rugby, helping bring customers through their doors on quieter midweek evenings. My sessions are small, warm and welcoming, so you’ll never feel like just another seat in a crowded venue.
✅ A Genuine Passion for Wellbeing Through Art
Studio Fifty Art was born from my own experience of using creativity to cope with redundancy, and I now create spaces where others can unwind, reconnect, and feel good through painting.
✅ Flexibility with Class Passes, Events, Parties & Gift Options
Love it here? I offer affordable class passes so you can come regularly and save. Want to treat someone else? Grab a gift card for a present that’s fun, thoughtful and screen-free. I also run bespoke private and corporate Paint & Sip events - from team socials to celebrations - tailored to suit group size, theme or atmosphere.
