Meet the person behind the business:
My career started in Brazil, where I trained as a Speech and Language Therapist and an Audiologist. When I moved to the UK, I focused on audiology, a profession that I absolutely love. I find audiology fascinating because it's constantly evolving. There's always new technology, new research and new ways we can improve people's quality of life.
My background is in the NHS and academia. I've always loved teaching, research and working in complex audiology services. But when I moved to the West Midlands, those same opportunities weren't really available to me. At the same time, I wanted a career that gave me more flexibility so I could spend quality time with my daughter while still doing the job I love. Starting my own practice gave me exactly that. It also gave me the freedom to build a service around the way I believe hearing healthcare should be delivered. I can book longer appointments, I don't feel rushed, and I can really get to know my patients.
Opening Carolina Leal Hearing Solutions has allowed me to bring together everything I've learned throughout my career and provide the kind of personalised, evidence-based care that I believe every patient deserves.
