Conceived to be different, we offer something for everyone & pride ourselves on being the most inclusive cocktail bar in the area. A cosy, glamorous space for all ages, all tastes & all people. Proudly serving individually made cocktails, local beers, unusual wines & a huge range of spirits. As well as proudly offering every menu cocktail as a zero-alcohol option, using Rugby’s widest range of no-alcohol spirits, we also offer them all as vegan options.

Meet the person behind the business:
As an award winning mixologist, with a career spanning over 20 years of experience, my passion for the industry can’t really be disputed. Having owned restaurants and bars previously, as well as having managed and grown many, for other people, I discovered my passion for customer interaction by entertaining guests with stories, over a quality, handmade cocktail. Mixology has a rich history and every cocktail has its own tale to tell, and this became my passion, eventually leading to me writing extensively on the history of cocktails. If you want to know why a Cosmopolitan is served in a martini glass, or why a Long Island Iced Tea is so named, I am the man with the answers.
The Aviary Bar, in Rugby, was conceived by a personal belief that the hospitality industry lacks interesting spaces and has too many corporate experiences. In a world of basics I wanted to help create something unique, yet totally inclusive. I was completely hands on in its creation, from the colour on the walls, the cushions on the sofas, every cocktail and beer on the menu, and every single song on the playlist.
