Processed Trauma is Lighter to Carry

About

Trauma Therapy by Trish, based in Coventry, lifts lives and raises results by supporting people aged 4-104 to process emotional trauma using drawing and talking techniques.

Is emotional trauma or anxiety holding you back?

Does it affect your sleep, energy levels, or motivation?

Is it stopping you from enjoying your life?

Do you struggle to talk about or acknowledge feelings?

Emotionally traumatic events can affect anyone at any time. They are unique to the individual. Processing how you feel about it can really improve your mental health, your physical health and empower you to HOPE for the future.

I offer programmes and services suitable for individuals or schools, all designed to help you process trauma while supporting wellbeing and development.

Products & Services:

⭐ Drawing & Talking

A gentle, client-led therapeutic technique based in Carl Jung’s Play Philosophy. This is a therapy, rooted in Attachment Theory, that supports the wellbeing of adults and children experiencing anxiety and difficulties associated with unprocessed emotional trauma. Available as Paper & Pencil or Sand Tray techniques.

12 weekly sessions of 30 mins. Available age 4-104 years.

⭐Emotions Discovery

Group Drawing & Talking Activity is a 6 week programme designed to support wellbeing and development through promoting emotional literacy and resilience. Delivered over 6 weeks, this programme uses Play Philosophy alongside Attachment theory to support both children and adults.

6 weekly sessions of 1 hour. Available age 5-104 years. Ideal group size: 6 -12 people. * Also available as Stand-Alone Taster-Style sessions to get people talking about Emotions

⭐Directed Group Work

A program that helps children develop empathy and listening skills as they work together and build bonds within the group. This programme follows a journey of self-discovery and is designed to fit school schedules, delivered in blocks suitable for half-terms.

5-8 weekly sessions of 45-60 mins. Available age 5-104 years. Group size: 3-30 people.

⭐Block Therapy (LEGO)

This evidence-based approach aims to develop social and communication skills by allowing you to work collaboratively to build a model. This allows you to practice skills such as sharing, turn taking, problem solving and following rules.

6 or 12 weekly sessions of 1 hour. Available age 6+. Group size: 3 people.

⭐KS1 English Interventions

I’m a Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant offering tailored support for schools and home educators. I provide short-term interventions in English for KS1, including phonics, handwriting, and Read Write Inc sessions. I can also cover PPA sessions or provide supply cover as needed. Support can be delivered one-to-one or in small groups, and I’m happy to work with home-educated children as well.

⭐Cued Articulation

A targeted intervention that supports speech mechanics, helping children position their tongue and lips correctly to produce clear, confident speech sounds.

⭐Wellbeing Tables for Events

FREE attendance at your event to promote Wellbeing. This service is available for fetes, open days/evenings, and for parent groups (subject to diary availability).

Who's behind the business?

Meet the person behind the business:
Hi, I’m Trish, a former Teaching Assistant with particular experience in SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), including ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) and a Parent of two ASC young adults who experience their autism very differently. This means I understand many of the emotional difficulties children experience, how to interact with them, the kind of reasonable adjustments that may be required and how hard parents have to fight for the support their children need. As a carer, caring for my autistic young people and an aging parent, I am also passionate about supporting the family members of individuals with a lifelong condition, disability or who have experienced life-changing injuries. There is an element of grieving for "what might have been" and a shift of mindset required to enable life to progress and new dreams to be dreamed. Family Carers do an amazing job that is priceless and often unsupported and unrecognised. I started the business to allow me to support people to find HOPE for their future by dealing with their past, whilst being able to offer them flexible appointments and maintain my own caring commitments.
What Makes Them So Special?

✅ Based in Kindness

Kindness is one of my core values. Everything I do revolves around treating people with respect, understanding, fairness, empathy & compassion. I will always be inclusive & supportive to all clients and pride myself in being Autism, SEND & LGBTQ+ aware.

✅ Always Up To Date

Training is an incredibly important part of what I do, and I am always finding ways to improve my understanding of my clients' needs. This helps me to offer the best possible services for at all times.

✅ Support That Fits Your Life

Life doesn’t always go to plan, so I offer appointments Monday to Saturday, including evenings, with flexibility to amend bookings, even at short notice. Payment options are designed to suit you too, with weekly, four-weekly, monthly or full programme choices available.

✅Mindful of Every Need

My treatment space in The Connection Cabin is sensory-aware and has been designed to welcome every single visitor, making them feel safe, comfortable and supported. If you have specific mobility needs, alternative venues can also be arranged.

✅Informed by Real Experience

My approach is shaped by both professional experience and personal understanding of supporting children and adults with additional needs. This gives me a deeper awareness of the challenges children, parents and families can face and allows me to offer support that is both practical and compassionate.
