Winter warmers and festive cheer is on the menu at destination dining pub The George at Kilsby.
The popular village pub is launching its new autumn/winter menu on November 6th, with plenty of comfort food on offer to reflect the changing season.
New dishes on the menu – which continues to offer a mixture of pub classics as well as Indian-fusion cuisine – will include pan-seared scallops and a festive sharing board, as well as a Burrata butter chicken pie and plenty more, while fond favourites including ribeye steak, fish and chips and a half roast chicken will remain. The George will also continue to offer its lunch menu, including Asian tapas, as well as afternoon teas and brunch options.
The George’s has also officially launched its festive offering – including a festive menu running from November 1st to December 23rd, as well as a special menu for Christmas Day.
The festive menu, priced £24.95 for two courses and £29.95 for three, is perfect for everything from work celebrations to family get-togethers and includes a choice of comfort food classics and Asian-inspired options.
The George’s Christmas Day menu is a festive feast of bread and dips followed by a three-course meal, then truffles and coffee, tea and mince pies, priced at £89.95 per adult and £44.95 for children.
The menu, alongside a special range of festive cocktails, will make The George the perfect place for a decadent Christmas Day, said chef patron Hari Krishnamurthy.
He said: “We’ve had a great year so far at The George with the opening of our new garden and al fresco dining area and our wonderful first birthday celebration, so we want to finish the year on a high by celebrating with our customers and serving up some great food throughout the festive season.
“Our festive menus and Christmas Day menu are aimed at showcasing what we do best at The George – serving up traditional dishes and classics as well as Asian-inspired creations that we know our customers love.
“We’ve already been inundated with enquiries and dates are getting booked fast, so if people are thinking of having a festive celebration with us or joining us for Christmas Day, then do get in touch.
“We’re also excited to be launching our autumn/winter menu imminently, which will reflect the change in the seasons and offer some new options for our customers. We’ve kept some of our popular dishes but have also launched some brand new ones, as well as making a few tweaks to some of the fond favourites. We can’t wait for everyone to try them.
Alongside its new menus and festive offering, The George is still offering monthly Supper Clubs showcasing Indian regional cuisine as well as afternoon teas including an Asian high tea option and cocktail masterclasses – pre-bookable for groups – which also make the perfect treat for a special occasion, including over the festive period.
