Warwickshire burger brand Libertine Burger has added another gong to its awards haul after being declared ‘Best Burger’ at the Coventry and Warwickshire Foodie Awards.

Libertine Burger, which has restaurants in Leamington Spa, Rugby and Stratford-upon-Avon, scooped the title in the 2025 awards, which recognise excellence in food and drink across the county.

The title adds to Libertine’s long list of accolades, including the Blogger’s choice award at the National Burger Awards 2019 and a silver in the 2024 West Midlands Tourism Awards.

The brand’s perfect patties have also seen it get to the finals of the British Street Food Awards, the Street Food Championships and the National Burger Awards. It was also one of only 30 burger businesses invited to compete in the historic ‘champion of champions’ contest to mark the 10th anniversary of the National Burger Awards.

Libertine Burger also reached the finals of the 2025 Warwickshire and West Midlands Muddy Stilettos Awards, and has been shortlisted in two categories – Casual Dining Restaurant of the Year and Street Food Operator of the Year – at the Midlands Food Drink and Hospitality Awards, which will be announced at the end of June.

Founder Charles Harris said: “When we started Libertine Burger, our mission was all about our customers, providing them with great burgers in a family-friendly environment with simple and fast service, without having to pay a premium. We really feel like we’ve done that, and while awards aren’t everything, they do recognise the thought, time and effort that has gone into creating a great experience for our customers.

“The combination of all of these awards – some judged by experts trying the sheer quality of our burgers, and other voted for by customers who come back to us again and again and again – show that we consistently offer some of the best burgers out there, and do it from the place that we call home, Warwickshire.

“We’re thrilled to add Best Burger at the Coventry and Warwickshire Foodie Awards to that list, and it’s amazing to be up there with so many great food and drink businesses from our home county.”

Libertine Burger launched in 2017 and has gone on to become a staple on the street food scene. As well as its restaurants and a food truck that tours the UK’s biggest festivals, the business – whose headquarters is in Leamington Spa – serves up over a thousand takeaway burgers each week from its sites in Warwickshire as well as sending its burger kits across the country so people can enjoy them in their own homes.
