Rugby Retailer’s Brand New Online Shop Proves A Hit

“CLOTHING ISN’T JUST ABOUT WHAT YOU WEAR OR HOW YOU LOOK. IT’S ABOUT HOW IT MAKES YOU FEEL. IT’S ABOUT WHO YOU ARE. AT ALBIE & LONNIE’S WE GET THAT”

Popular Rugby-based retailer Albie & Lonnie’s is battling back after a difficult few months by taking its unique service and quality brands to people in their very own home.Like retailers across the country, formalwear specialists Albie & Lonnie’s were forced to close their doors in March. But the independent business noticed that not being able to go out didn’t stop people wanting to look good and feel good so launched a brand new online store to help give people a lift during lockdown.

The doors of Albie & Lonnie’s flagship store have now reopened but its online store is proving a huge hit, delivering menswear and recently-launched womenswear ranges to customers across the country. The webshop means people can shop from the independent retailer from the comfort of their home, enjoying free delivery to anywhere in the UK.

The store features a full range of menswear, with designers including Marc Darcy, Blend, Casual Friday, MAC Jeans and Guide London, while womenswear ranges include jeans, jumpers, tops, t-shirts, skirts, jackets, dresses and blouses from brands including Denim Hunter, Culture, AX Paris, Closet London and Urban Bliss. While the website is proving a great alternative for people who can’t visit Albie & Lonnie’s store in person, founder Dave Hall is keen to give people the unique face-to-face service that the brand has become known for.

“At Albie & Lonnie’s we’ve always put the face-to-face experience at the heart of everything we do, getting to know our customers and making sure we can suggest outfits, push them out of their comfort zone, and ensure they leave the shop feeling great.

“We haven’t been able to do that for a few months, hence launching the online store which is proving a huge hit. But over the past few weeks we’ve put all the necessary measures in place to make sure that we can welcome people through our doors and give them an experience they won’t find anywhere else. We’re lucky that our shop has plenty of space which allows us to ensure people’s safety while giving them the shopping experience they’ve missed so much.

“Small businesses have suffered hugely over the past few months and we’re grateful for all the support we’ve received. We understand that some people might not be able to come back to us, but for those who want to, we’re ready to show you some of the great new stock we’ve got so you can head into the summer looking and feeling great.

“For those who can’t come and see us in person for whatever reason, we can still offer an incredibly personal service through our online store. It may not be quite the same, but through messages, videos, photos, and the power of social media, we’ve been able to suggest new looks, showcase new designs, get to know new customers and really go the extra mile to look after people.”
