Founder of AtKat Marketing, Katherine Attreed, is celebrating a decade of helping small businesses grow while building a business around family life.
We’re always delighted to celebrate the milestones of our members here at The Warwickshire Review, especially when they’ve spent years helping other local businesses along the way.
This summer, Katherine Attreed, a Warwick marketing consultant, is celebrating 10 years in business.
Over the last decade she has built a company around family life while helping fellow small businesses grow and promote themselves.
Katherine launched AtKat Marketing in 2016 after recognising that many small businesses were struggling to access practical marketing support. Creating a career that gave her the flexibility to balance both work and family life.

Ten years later, AtKat Marketing is marking the occasion by reflecting on a decade of supporting business owners across a wide range of industries – something worth celebrating, especially in today’s business landscape.
Reflecting on the anniversary, Katherine said:
“When I started AtKat Marketing, I saw that many small businesses were struggling to access practical marketing support because they were often too small for traditional agencies. I wanted to use my marketing experience to help those businesses while also creating the flexibility to be there for my boys. I wanted to do the school runs, attend sports days, watch school plays and be present for the moments that matter.”
“Ten years later, I’m incredibly proud to have built a business that has allowed me to do that while helping so many business owners along the way.”
Over the last decade, Katherine has worked with businesses across a wide range of sectors, including hospitality, health and wellbeing, home care, professional services and retail, helping owners promote and grow their businesses.
Navigating the Challenges of Business Ownership
During the pandemic, when many businesses paused their marketing activity amid uncertainty, Katherine took on a part-time role working within one of her clients’ businesses while continuing to run AtKat Marketing.
“Like many business owners, there have been difficult moments along the way, particularly during the pandemic,” said Katherine. “But those experiences taught me resilience, adaptability and the importance of finding a way forward when things don’t go according to plan.”
It’s a sentiment many small business owners across Warwickshire will no doubt relate to.

The Importance of Relationship Building
While marketing has changed significantly over the last 10 years, Katherine believes one thing has remained constant.
“The biggest lesson I’ve learned isn’t really about marketing at all. It’s about relationships. Many of my clients have come through recommendations, and some of the people I’ve met along the way have become genuine friends. Those relationships have been one of the most rewarding parts of running AtKat Marketing.”
To celebrate the milestone, Katherine has planned a month of activities, including competitions, special content and a celebration bringing together clients, suppliers, business connections, friends and supporters who have supported AtKat Marketing over the years.
“I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported AtKat Marketing over the last 10 years. I wouldn’t be here without them.”
Katherine’s passion for helping small businesses shines through in everything she does, which is one of the many reasons we’re delighted to have her as part of The Warwickshire Review community. To find out more about Katherine and the support she offers, visit her directory listing here.
