June Lee, founder, and creator behind June’s Chatterbox Tunes is driven by her passion for her work and her love for supporting families with babies and children. June worked as a Speech and Language therapist for six years, working in paediatrics, Early years, and with young adolescents. Her wide range of experience in this field allowed her the opportunity to work alongside children with a range of communication and learning difficulties. When June was made redundant from the Rugby Children’s centres where she worked for six years as an Early Years Practitioner running ‘Chatter Matters’ & ‘Language Enrichment’ (courses focussed around speech, language and singing), Stay & Play sessions and Baby groups, it felt like an only natural move to begin June’s Chatterbox Tunes in November 2018.
During her career, June has been able to build relationships with a wide variety of families across Rugby and the surrounding area. With their support and encouragement, June began delivering her own sessions. She tells us she loves being able to see some of the parents from her time at the Children’s centre returning to her with new babies. June’s passion resonates in all areas of her services, throughout her time with her customers and the services she continues to provide. Their loyalty demonstrates her excellent and personable approach to speech and language therapy and does not forget her passion for a single moment. Alongside her team of puppets, Maurice, Lucy, and Angus, June offers a wide variety of sessions for her customers, suited for children up to four years old. Her range of sessions include Signs, Rhymes, and Sensory sessions. These sessions involve music, June’s beloved puppets, instruments, props, signs, and other sensory messy play activities. Your little ones can enjoy speech and language development classes which utilise June’s background in Speech and Language Therapy, Early Years Education, and Baby Signs Teaching. June also provides Live online 1:1 sessions, giving advice, information, and activities to support early communication, speech, language, play and interaction for babies/children under 3 years. In usual circumstances, June offers Stay and Play events, Birthday parties, Themed Events for Christmas and other holidays at various locations around Warwickshire in venues such as churches and village halls across Rugby, Binley Woods, and other surrounding areas.
However, with the current global climate, changes to any business is necessary. Whilst the threat of Covid-19 is still very current, June’s services are limited, and she is making the most of her resources online to give parents some support. June is offering online live classes including Live Signs and Rhymes, aimed at babies/toddlers up to two and a half, and a Music and Movement class for those from four months to four years. Music and Movement classes include dancing with props, fun action songs, and a variety of different movements to keep your little ones moving and grooving.
Facing this pandemic head-on, June is determined to ensure she can still provide useful services that will engage families so is providing free online Live Bedtime Story Time and Lullaby Sessions to support those families who may not be able to afford her classes at the moment. She has also ensured her live Zoom sessions are kept at the very low cost of £2!
